We are proud to introduce our new Wahuda 50200PC-WHD pro
planer weighing in at 65lbs. Lighter in weight, and smaller in size than our
previous pro planer, makes this unit easier for the woodworker to transport to
and from the jobsite and around the home workshop. And we’ve added some
upgrades from our previous pro model.
The 50200PC-WHD has 2 feed speeds, 26 fpm for regular every
day production type planning, or 18 fpm
which will provide a finer finish on figured stock. As with our Wahuda
jointers, our new planers come with spiral style cutterheads with 4-sided
carbide inserts already installed. We have made it much quicker and easier to
access the cutterhead, for insert rotation or replacement, by adding star knobs to the dust port and dust chute screws that can be
quickly removed without a tool.
We’ve added pullout extensions on the heavier gauge infeed
and outfeed tables to give you 45” of total table length for those longer
pieces of stock if needed. If even longer
pieces of lumber need machining, you can always add additional support…such as
roller stands. And the tables and pullout extensions are adjustable to get them
coplanar to the center wear plate.
Included is a turret style 8 position preset depth stop
ranging from 1/8” to 1 ¾” which allows for consistent thickness when planning large
quantities of stock. It has a standard stock capacity of 13” W X 6” H with a
1/8” maximum depth of cut. (1/32” max depth of cut at 10” and above).
Also upgraded is the redesigned dust port. The wood chips no
longer have to make a 90 degree turn which occasionally caused blockage. The
chips now eject straight out the back through a motor fan assisted 4” port and
a 2 ½” adapter is include for those wanting to use a shop vac.
We’ve kept the powerful 120 V 15 amp motor which equates to
about 2.2 HP. The planer cutterhead assembly rides on a 4 screw post design
which performs better at reducing snipe than other designs.
PLEASE NOTE: The speed selector switch should only be changed while the machine is on and
not under load. Otherwise, damage will occur to the speed selector mechanism.
